Sonetto 78
***
Tan a menudo te he invocado Musa
consiguiendo tal favor a mi poesía,
Y elevas a sabiduría mi ruin ignorancia.

I have invoked so often you Muse
getting such favor to my poetry,
that every other pen has followed my custom
and it spreads its verses in your service.
Your eyes that erudiron the mute one to explain the song
is to the crass ignorance to sublime volar,
have added pens to the wings of the wise
and conferred double majesty to the grace.
However be mostly fierce than me
I compose Because your is the inspiration and from you was born:
in other people's verses you don't improve that the style
and their art it is favorite from your sweet graces.
For me you only six all of my art
And you raise to wisdom my rough ignorance.
